Make A Wish
Granting wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions gives them more than an amazing experience. A wish come true has the power to make kids feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. Many families and healthcare providers believe the wish experience is the turning point in a wish kid’s battle against their illness. Your gift today can help Make-A-Wish® achieve our mission to grant the wish of every eligible child. Grant a wish and help change a child’s life.
The River Community Wellness Program (RCWP) provides intensive outpatient behavioral health services for active duty military personnel, stationed at Fort Drum, suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). RCWP provides continuity of care for soldiers transitioning from an inpatient stay. With no other intensive outpatient service like this in the country, River Hospital accepted the challenge and responsibility of offering outpatient mental health services designed specifically for active duty military personnel experiencing effects of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and difficulties related to stressful events experienced at pre-deployment, in-theater, or related to post-deployment adjustments.
