Bobby and his family are true River Rats living and playing in the 1000 Islands year round.
Court Rutherford, CNY and Alexandria Bay. Vice President – 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run. VP Sales & Engineering at TAG Mechanical Systems, Inc. Court is a 3rd Generation 1000 Islands River Rat, has rental properties in Alexandria Bay, Central New York & Florida Gulf coast. He is a Former Fire Chief, HazMat Coordinator, Master Scuba Diver (35 years) and served on town planning board for 8 years. Court and his wife are avid 12 month boaters.
Alex Buduson, Clayton, NY. Secretary – 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run. Events Coordinator / Administrative Assistant at the Clayton Chamber of Commerce. Steering Committee Member of Thousand Islands Young Leaders Organization. Treasurer & Board Member of Clayton Improvement Association. Co-Chair of the Clayton Christmas Parade. Alex is a true River Rat, living and playing in the 1000 Islands year round.
Renee Lalonde, Ontario, NY & Alexandria Bay, NY. Treasure – 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run. VP of Finance & Administration of Five Star Tool Company in Rochester. Renee grew up in Brewerton, NY and is a former VP of Commercial Banking where she managed a large portfolio comprised of non-profit organizations. She is the wife of Ken and mom of their two sons, 18 and 15 years old. Ken and Renee met in Alex Bay in 1992 and have always loved the region for the River and all its beauty.
Jeff Morgan, Rochester, NY. Board Member – 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run. Jeff was born in Belleville, ON, Canada and spent his entire life on the River, growing up in Ivy Lea in the Thousand Islands. Jeff is Business Manager for Meyer’s RV Superstores. He is father to twin 14-year-olds who also love boating and participating in Poker Runs. Jeff has been running in Poker Runs for the last 18 years straight, and currently owns a 42’ Fountain named “Captain Morgan 2.0”.

Julie Garnsey, Clayton, NY. Executive Director, Clayton Opera House. Member Thousand Islands Museum Board, Clayton Chamber of Commerce Board and Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Service Board. Plays clarinet with the Clayton Community Band and volunteers at many community events. Julie loves being on the River as much as possible whether it is fishing or cruising.
Jeremy Cohen, Clayton, NY. Owner of Seabound Yachts, LLC. Originally from Staten Island, New York, Jeremy moved to the Thousand Islands in 2007 to start a family with his wife, Erica, who is a life-long resident of Clayton, NY. He fell in love with the St. Lawrence River upon his first summer visit in 1999. He has a passion for boating and The River! Jeremy has a background in investment banking, sales, and marketing. He is also a hockey coach for Thousand Islands Youth Hockey. Jeremy and his wife have a son, Daniel (7 years), and a daughter, Sophia (9 years). They love to get out on their boat as much as possible in the spring, summer AND fall months!
Tom Cheney, Watertown & Clayton, NY. Owner/Operator of Cheney Tire. Tom’s a lifelong River Rat. “My grandmother was born and raised in Clayton. I have been going to Clayton since I was 3 weeks old –driving boats with my dad at the age of 5 and bought my first boat when I was 11. Today my passion in life is driving my boats on the River and selling Tires…!!!!!”
Don Lingenfelter [aka – Link] Clayton, NY. “Many years ago I had the pleasure of bringing the first boat Poker Run to Clayton. I am a past president of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and still serve on the board of directors.” Don worked at N.Y. Airbrake, Stratopower Aerospace and he still has hydraulic pumps in outer space.” Don owns K’s Motel with his wife Linda in the beautiful 1000 Islands.
. . . . as well as 80+ volunteers helping as their time allows. The committee is seeking volunteers from the community as this years event planning progresses. This event is intended to draw the ENTIRE community together in a spirit of giving to participate in a group effort.
